hello hans,

we are definately coming back to germany june 11th. i don't have
concrete dates yet, but i know we are playing some festivals as well as
some some club dates. we are playing the glitterhouse festival in
beverungen with our dear friend neal casal. that is gonna be the high
point i'm sure....

as for the record... last i heard, they are not planning on releaseing
it in europe until august or september, but we are gonna self release a
little acoustic ep of cover tunes, an will have it with us when we come
over in june. should be interesting. any suggestions on covers?
it's gonna be weird and cool. i think we may cover tunes by genesis,
todd rundgren, and t-bone burnett, as well as some old favs from the
country veins... we welcome suggestions....

see you soon!

dear hans,

feel free to put my mail on your guestbook, but could you please delete
my address for now? we will have a new band e-mail very soon, and i
would prefer to recieve unsolicited mail there, simply because my email
is slow and gets clogged up easily.

here's some news: we just returned from los angeles, where we were
checking out recording studios for our next record. it will be recorded
in january with the illustrious Jim Scott, of tom petty, johnny cash,
etc.etc.etc. fame. we met jim last febuary in nashville, when dropped
in to see the whiskeytowners during the recording of stranger's almanac,
which jim produced. we're all very happy to have him on this project,
cause he's so fantastic, and i'm personally looking forward to spending
january in the warmth of L.A.

lyrics to "Yer Shoes..."

i looked at your picture today
there's family and flowers and a smile on your face
like i havn't seen in too many days - what happened?
your smiles gone away

so i'm leaving today
i'm going tonight on the very next train
i'm taking our baby but i'm leaving your name
to linger on here - with your silence - in the rain

cause you begged me to go
your ice, fire and snow
but there's tethers, and tatters,
and ropes to untangle
i'm drowning in wishes to please

the river ran over today
the water was churning
and both banks gave way
if i was on the highway i might feel immune
with a false sense of strategy, i look down,
there's your shoes
and you beg me to stay
the ice is melting away
but there's bushes and berries
and reeds to unravel
my heart slipping down to my knees

so i'm leaving today
i'm going tonight if it don't look like rain
i'm taking our baby but i'm leaving you name
to linger on here with you silence
what a shame
but it doesn't matter
i'm still going away

thanks again, hans, and your site is totally awesome!!!

such a great site.....

Allergic to love

I'd like to talk to you
I'd like to let you know
How and when I follow you
just what I'm thinking and
Why when I'm eyeing you
>From the corner of my eye
it Seems to close fresh sight
i'm Kind of allergic to love.

You see it in the movies on T.V.
The T.V. in my room at night
The T.V.'s always on all night
But it's alright.

I'm alone when i'm not following you
down the hall
Watching the way you stall
Watching everything at all

You see it on the movies on T.V.
The T.V. in my room at night
The T.V.'s always on all night
But it's alright.

I'm alone when i'm not following you
down the hall
Watching the way you stall
Watching everything at all

La-la-la.
Hey-Hey.

(remember, this is a cover (eric's trip) so some of the words may
unintentionally differ from the origional)

hi hans.

i do not have access to my e-mail right now, so at present i am writing
from a crowded cafe in L.A., staring at lyle lovett at the table next
to me. sorry for the delays, but with a little patience, we should have
a new homepage up and going soon, and you';; be the first to know. the
new record is sounding great, and we may be back in germany sooner than
you think (maybe as soon as may or june!!!) thanks for your
patience!!!

Happy trails!
